Dorothy McPartland is an enthusiastic teacher and learner, happily living with her family back in her hometown of Bethpage, Long Island. As an avid star-gazer, her first picture book encourages even the youngest astronomers to appreciate the beauty of the night sky. She also enjoys painting and displays canvases from her picture book, Wishing Stars, at art shows across the country. She is currently finalizing illustrations for her second book, Moonlight Dance.
