Jill Sooley grew up in St. John’s, Newfoundland, on Canada’s east coast. She attended Memorial University of Newfoundland, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in English and Political Science before pursuing a Masters in Mass Communications from the University of Southern Mississippi. Ms. Sooley worked as a communications director with the government of Newfoundland and Labrador until moving to New York, where she became a publicist with a boutique Manhattan public relations firm. Ms. Sooley traded in her PR career for the opportunity to raise her family on Long Island’s south shore, where she eventually settled in to write fiction.
A smart, witty and candid tale of marriage, family and grief in a small coastal town.
