Kerriann Flanagan Brosky is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Long Island University at C.W. Post, and studied under renowned photographer Arthur Leipzig. She began her photographic career in 1990 as a freelance photojournalist for Newsday and local papers. She then went on to begin a writing career combining her love of history and photography. She is the author of five illustrated books.
Ms. Brosky’s past experiences have included serving as first Vice President of the Huntington Historical Society’s Board of Trustees for six years, as well as serving as a Board of Trustee member for the Greenlawn-Centerport Historical Association for four years. She is currently on the Board of the Long Island’s Author’s Group where she is second Vice President.
Ghosts of Long Island II, More Stories of the Paranormal, is Kerriann Flanagan Brosky’s upcoming fifth book. Due to the popularity of her first ghost book which came out in 2006, Ms. Brosky began work on a sequel which takes the reader through another spine-tingly and awe-inspiring journey through her investigations with paranormal investigator, Joe Giaquinto. Through extensive research and interviews, Ms. Brosky has written thirty new and exciting ghost and spiritual stories of true accounts. All are featured in this illustrated book which takes you on her travels from Elmont to the East End. Available in stores and on Amazon.com, October 2008.
The success of her ghost book has promoted much prestigious media coverage, including features in Newsday and Distinction magazine, and she has appeared on the CBS Sunday Morning Show, Channel 21 WLIW’s “Ticket” with Laura Savini, Channel 55 and News 12 Long Island. She also appeared as an authority on the history of several Long Island ghost stories and legends for the documentary portion of a film entitled Lost Suburbia (2007). She is currently working with Joe Giaquinto on a documentary television pilot based on Ghosts of Long Island with the producers of Lost Suburbia.
