Speaking of the 2014 Literary Award Contest, President Emeritus
Dorothy McPartland said, "This year's high school
seniors wrote winning essays that struck a chord with
everyone who read them. They shared personal stories
about responsibility, perseverance, and optimism in the
face of life's challenges."
"Dan
Gottlieb, first prize winner, reminded us to 'get lost
on the road of life' in his thought-provoking essay on
philosophy," said McPartland. "The Long Island Authors
Group was proud to support these dynamic seniors in our
2014 Literary Award contest."
